Ramen Ryoma *
Specializing in authentic and affordable ramen, this shop will meet your standards no matter what background you may come from. Upon walking in the door you are greeted with a loud “irrasshaimase!” (welcome in japanese). Even with a full waitlist, you aren’t guaranteed to wait very long. The staff and friendly and the service is quick. They offer three broth varieties: Miso, Shoyu, and Shio. See details on all three below.
Ramen Ryoma offers handmade noodles that hold up well in the broth without being too heavy on the stomach .Their pork belly is tender, and their base bowls include a good variety of toppings. This restaurant is a regular go-to for when I’m feeling a bit depressed and want to feel better. All of their food is excellent quality, and it always pairs well with a nice glass of fuji apple sake

Miso is a rich and flavorful broth with a soybean base. It is the most opaque of the three broths and tends to be the most popular. It has a full umami flavor and offers the barest hint of spice that any sensitivity can handle. Recommended bowl pairing: spicy umami ramen.
Shoyu is a soy sauce based broth and is usually the most beginner-friendly. Its a simple and salty flavor profile with enough depth to really rock your taste buds. Recommended bowl pairing: Chashu ramen.
Shio broth is the lightest and simplest of the three. It’s described as a sea salt base. Its light and airy, and can leave ramen veterans wanting just a little bit more. This broth is recommended for individuals with simpler taste buds and more sensitive tummies. Recommended bowl pairing: Tamago mayu ramen.
